The dates are out as World Series of Poker makes its announcements for the 2015 series. This is the 46th Annual World Series of Poker championship featuring 68 events. This event is supposed to be hosted at Las Vegas, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from May 27 to July 14. The "Colossus" makes its debut this season on May 29 with $565 buy in amount and prize money of $ 5,000,000. The greater number of chips for various events and new tournaments mark a significant change in this year's events. The poker tournament eligibility includes anyone at the age of 21 years and above for enrolment. The cards will be placed officially on May 27 and the prize money is announced to be almost $200 million. Several new events have been introduced to heighten the entertainment and excitement of the gamers. This has resulted in an increase in the number of the initiating chips.

• Event 65 Lucky 7's July 3

• Event 67 $10,000 Dealers Choice with 19 diverse variations July 3

• July 2 grand event with online gold bracelet as prize for the two players to continue till the end.

For the games like Colossus, Lucky 7s, Super Seniors, Bounty, and Extended Play, the starting chips amount is 5000 while for few other games the starting chips amount will vary to 7500, 12500, 15990, 25000. This shows almost a whopping 66% hike in the number of starting chips used in 2014. This season, the event has apparently 68 bracelet events and another alteration states that if there are a minimum of 5000 players then the final 1000 players shall earn the cash event decently enough and nine finalists are guaranteed to win a minimum prize amount of $ 1,000,000. This will be applicable only if the number of participants in 2015 exceeds the number of players in 2014.
